West Midlands Mayor opens Big Zero Show
Mayor of the West Midlands, Andy Street, will be speaking at the Big Zero Show – and as a former Managing Director of John Lewis, Andy has a strong background in business and understands the importance of sustainability for economic growth.
During his time as Mayor, he has overseen major initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions, such as the introduction of electric buses and the expansion of cycling infrastructure.
The West Midlands has set the ambitious target of reducing carbon emissions to 70% of 1990 levels by 2027 and achieving net zero by 2041.
Andy will be giving a Big Zero Lecture on his vision for the green future of the region.
