What makes us different to other energy companies is that, since we were founded in 1995 by Dale Vince OBE, we have been not-for-dividend, meaning we use any excess profits from our bills to build new sources of green energy – as we like to call it, ‘bills into mills’.

We are a part of the Green Britain Group, which was founded on the mission of decarbonising the three areas of life that make up 80% of the typical person’s carbon footprint: energy, transport and food – while making room for nature. This is shown in the Group’s portfolio, which includes Forest Green Rovers – described by FIFA as the “greenest football club in the world” – and Skydiamond, which makes diamonds from captured carbon.

All of this means that harnessing our 100% green electricity and carbon neutralised gas is one of the best ways in which any organisation can reduce their impact on the environment. The more businesses who join us, the more we can do towards our mission of eliminating fossil fuels.
